This project was initially started in 2000 by Mr. Abrar Khan and Mr. Khalid Bhatti. In the start it was named as Mid Margallah and later on as West Ridge. The land was purchased from local land owners by Mr. Abrar Khan and Mr. Khalid Bhatti. Later on some big chunks of land were sold to investors like General Khalid Mehmood, Ahmad Ibrahim Zareen Gul and Sajid Brothers etc. However purchasers of land in chuncks were asked to surrender 40% of their land as wastage for roads, Mosques, parks and commercial area. 60% of their land was allocated for them in the form of plots. Below is the google earth map taken in 2013 of the area.

An image of the Master Plan is given below;

It is reliablely said that main purchasers have sold most of the land and got the development funds amounting to more than 100 million but no significant development was carried out and a very small percentage of plot owners got possession of their plots. A partial development google earth image is shown below,

People waited for fifteen years but no significant development was accomplished. There were no hopeful signs of any progress. The area seemed to loose value and people were looking to sell their property in furstration even at less price than the purchase price. In this situation some friends decided to call a meeting of all stakeholders. In December 2015 a meeting of plot owners was called at office of Sajid brothers at project site. Mr. Sajid Iqbal was elected as president of community. And a committee was contituted as Community Development Committee (CDC).

Currently CDC, the Community Development Committee formed by Independent plot owners on ---- is currently busy in the making major developments in the area. Bhatti group has created hurrdels in this work by instigating some touts and framing legal cases against CDC members and other plot owners. Anyhow inspite of all this CDC is pursuing the development work enthusiastically on self help bases by contributing huge sums of moeny from their own pockets. Of course this money will be adjusted in their development expeances when other members of community will join in the developmen efforts.
